A little TLC….

It’s that time of year when the rainy and cold weather has set us thinking about jobs to do inside. A huge thank you to Emma and Stacey for their hard work in sprucing up our dark room and the Holiday Club after a busy Summer. Both rooms look amazing.

We are taking bookings for October Half Term and if you are thinking of joining us please let us know asap as spaces are limited due to Emma going off for an operation.

Good luck to Sasha, Shelley and Bethan who are all starting their level 5 CCLD qualification this month and to Stacey who is starting her level 5 Management top up. Well done ladies, you are a top team.

Goodbyes and hellos……

It has been a busy summer at Ser Bach, we hope you have all had a good one and enjoyed the sunny days. We hope all of our children who started school last week are enjoying themselves and look forward to hearing about their adventures.

The staff have been busy settling our new children and just two weeks in everyone seems to be having a good time.

Over the summer we said a fond farewell to  Norah, Teri and Claire. Teri has already been in to see us, she is enjoying her new role working in a building company and we look forward to hearing from Norah and Claire soon. We wish them all the best.

Sasha has taken over Claire’s position as Room Leader and Di has joined us in Sasha’s old role. Di has had lots of experience working in different nurseries and they are already making a really good team.

It is our pleasure to welcome Lauren who joined us over the summer after finishing her level 3 CCLD in college and has worked in all three rooms. We feel as though she has worked with us for much longer than just a few weeks.

Ceri has been appointed as our new cook. She has lots of ideas and will hopefully be starting work at the end of the month. In the meantime Kirsty and Carla have very kindly taken over cooking duties and are doing an amazing job.

Spaces are filling up fast….

The summer holidays are flying by and it has been fantastic to enjoy the sunshine. Our plans are in place for a busy September and by today we only have a limited number of spaces left, especially for children under 2 years. If you have enquired  recently but have not yet confirmed a place please contact us asap to avoid disappointment. We really don’t want to let anybody down. Thank you.

Our Holiday Club….. Ffrindiau Sêr Bach

IMG_3450We are all getting very excited about officially opening the doors of our holiday club this summer. Over the past year some of the children who left us to start on their adventure at school have been back to play with us and it is a joy to have their company in the holidays. Watching their excitement as they catch up is both an honor and a privilege.

Work will begin on creating a purpose built room for the ‘big’ children to have some space away from the younger children although popping in to see your little brother or sister is always encouraged. Ffrindiau Sêr Bach will be offering lots of fun activities to help the children to use the skills that they have learnt over the past year at school which will be introduced through a series of mini themes.

There will be plenty of chances to practice their sporting skills and to show their creative side with artist days and musical activities being planned to keep their imaginations busy.

There will be lots of opportunities for trips to the out and about with camping experiences and picnics being planned.

A day at Ffrindiau Sêr Bach will keep your child busy and stimulated leaving you free to go to work reassured that they will be looked after by qualified and experienced staff.
