Safeguarding children is our highest priority. Every member of staff has a responsibility to protect the wellbeing and safety of the children in our care, and we have robustprocedures in place to help ensure children are safe, happy and well cared for.
We have a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy in place, which is shared with parents before their child starts nursery. All staff receive safeguarding training and are aware of our procedures and responsibilities.
CCTV operates throughout the building to support the safety and security of our children and staff.
Our nursery is subject to external checks and inspections, including Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), Environmental Health and Citation (Health & Safety), helping us to maintain a safe environment and meet current requirements.

When joining our team, all staff complete an online Safeguarding course while awaiting a suitable face-to-face training course. We ensure that staff remain up to date with safeguarding knowledge and guidance.
Our Safeguarding Policy is reviewed annually, or sooner if new guidance or legislation is released. This ensures that our practices continue to reflect the most current safeguarding requirements.
You can be reassured that safeguarding is always a priority at Sêr Bach, and we are committed to providing a safe, secure and caring environment where your children are in the safest hands.
For added security, our front door is permanently locked. It can only be opened by a member of staff, ensuring that access to the nursery is carefully controlled.
