The safety, health and wellbeing of every child at Sêr Bach is always our highest priority. We have clear procedures in place to help us prepare for and respond to emergencies.
🩹 First Aid
We ensure that appropriate paediatric first aid cover is maintained throughout the day, with staff trained to provide first aid to babies and young children. We maintain a safe level of qualified first aiders on site and will never have fewer than 1 qualified first aider for every 10 children.
🔥 Fire Safety
Our team includes trained Fire Marshals, and we carry out regular fire drills to ensure everyone knows what to do. Our fire safety risk assessment is reviewed regularly, and the nursery has a fully functioning fire alarm system.
📞 Emergency Closure
If Sêr Bach ever needs to close due to an emergency or circumstances outside our control, we will contact parents and carers as soon as possible.
🎒 Emergency Supplies
We keep essential emergency supplies at the nursery so we are prepared for unexpected situations, including severe weather or temporary disruption. These include food, drinking water, blankets, formula milk, nappies and hygiene supplies.
