Yes.

Within six weeks of your child starting nursery, we ask for a deposit equal to one month’s childcare fees.

The deposit secures your child’s place.

It will be held on your account and can be used towards your final month’s fees, as long as your account is up to date.

Yes.

Our holiday year runs from 1st September to 31st August.

Children receive two holiday days for each full day they attend per week.

For example, a child attending three full days each week will receive six holiday days per year.

Holiday days are charged at 50% of your usual fees.

Holiday days must be used within the same holiday year. Unused days cannot be carried forward.

There is no charge when the nursery is closed over the Christmas period or on Bank Holidays.

Settling-in sessions are completely free. 💛

We want every child to feel happy, safe and confident when starting nursery.

Settling-in sessions help us get to know your child, learn about their routines and build a strong relationship with them.

👋 First session – around 30 minutes

Parents stay with their child. You can chat, play and get to know our team. We can also go through any paperwork together.

💬 Time to share information

You can tell us about your child’s routines, likes, dislikes and individual needs.

🦋 Second session - 30 minutes without parent 

If you and your child feel comfortable, you can choose to leave them with us for a short time.

🦋 Third session - 1 hour without parent 

Sometimes further settling-in sessions are needed.

We will arrange more short sessions to help your child settle gradually and build confidence.

We recommend booking your first session around three weeks before your child starts nursery.

😴 Choose a suitable time

Where possible, avoid booking when your child is usually tired. This can help them enjoy the experience more.

• 👕 A change of clothes
• 🥾 Wellies
• 🧤 Winter hat
• 🧢 Sun hat and sun cream
• 🩲 Two spare pairs of pants
• 🍼 Bottles, clearly labelled
• 🧸 Comforter or favourite item if needed for a sleep

🧸 Toys from Home

We do not recommend bringing toys from home into nursery. This helps to prevent toys from being lost, damaged or misplaced, and ensures that children can enjoy the wide range of toys and resources we have available at Sêr Bach. 🦋

It’s never too early to arrange your childcare. Booking early gives you peace of mind and helps ensure everything is organised before you return to work.

We currently accept childcare bookings for unborn babies and children up to 12 months in advance, subject to availability.
