At Sêr Bach we have a small, experienced team. We are always happy to meet new parents pop along and see us.
Registered Person and person in charge: Cheryl Thomas – Cheryl is a former school teacher and assistant headteacher with 20 years experience teaching including children with additional needs within the Foundation Phase. A mum of three Cheryl is also a Makaton Regional tutor, a qualified First Aider and holds an up to date Food Hygiene certificate at level 2 and Allergy Awareness qualification.

Pili Pala

Stacey Clutton, Senior Co-ordinator for the Under 3’s. Baby Room Leader and Deputy Manager- Stacey has worked with us since we opened, she holds a Level 5 qualification  Stacey is our very own baby whisperer, with her team she provides our youngest children with activities and age appropriate adventures that stimulate their curiosity and imaginations. Stacey is currently studying her level 5 management course.

Shelley Storrer- Shelley has recently joined our team and works alongside Stacey making sure that the babies have a wonderful and varied experiences throughout the day. Shelley loves creative and messy play and we are so pleased that she decided to join our team. Shelley has a level 3 qualification and has just enrolled to study her level 5 qualification.

Crystal Roberts – level 2 CCLD, Crystal loves being organised and making sure that the baby room operates smoothly.

Rachel Gallagher – Level 3 CCLD, as a Mum of three children at home Rachel is very good at making babies feel at home and relaxed.

Lauren Hargreaves – Lauren has recently joined us and has her level 3 CCLD. Lauren is kind, patient and very popular with the children and staff.

Miri Mawr

Sasha Hindle is Room Leader for Miri Mawr and works alongside both Stacey and Emma to provide our toddlers with an exciting, lively and varied curriculum that answers their taste for adventure while concentrating on developing their all important communication, social and physical skills. Sasha and her team add a special sparkle to our nursery which delights both children and adults. Sasha is starting her level 5 CCLD qualification.

Dianne Roberts – Di joined us at the end of August and it already feels like we have known her forever. Di has a level 5 qualification and works with Sasha spreading their magic across our toddlers. Di has also started studying her level 3 playworker qualification so that she can help out in the holiday club.

Tia Marshall – Level 3 CCLD. we are really happy that Tia has joined our team. She can be found entertaining our toddlers and making sure that they have a busy and fun time each day.


Emma Taylor – Foundation Phase Room Leader and Deputy Manager. Emma joined our team in April 2016 and has developed our Foundation Room into an area for learning and discovery that delights little minds and hands. Emma holds a Level 5 qualification and her passion for learning through play has helped to transform our outdoor play area into an extension on the playroom that is suitable for all ages. Emma is currently studying her Level 5 management course.

Bethan Roberts – Bethan works in Ystafell yr Enfys with our pre schoolers. She is amazing at creating fun activities and has developed the Foundation Phase further with her fun ideas. Bethan is Emma’s right hand person and together they make sure that all of our older children are happy, confident and ready for their next adventure in school, she has a level 3 qualification and is starting her level 5.

Carla Eccles – Level 2 CCLD. Carla’s fun loving nature makes her hugely popular with our pre-schoolers and holiday club children.

Catherine Jones – Level 3 CCLD. Catherine has recently joined our team and is interested in completing her play worker qualification so she can help out with the holiday club.

Katie is our resident artist and when she isn’t busy making Sêr Bach look colourful and friendly she can often be found helping out with admin tasks or playing with the babies, Katie will be back each holiday as she is moving on to study a degree in Dance and we look forward to lots of creative movement sessions for our children next holidays.

Kirsty Looms has a Level 3 qualification in Childcare Learning and Development. Kirsty can be found helping out across the nursery with school collections, kitchen duty, creating resources, holiday club and covering sickness in the rooms.

Ceri Hughes is our Nursery Cook. She is enthusiastic and loves to cook delicious and nutritious foods for our children.

‘Absolutely lovely nursery, all staff are so welcoming, my little boy started this week and he was all smiles when I dropped him off on the second day and when picking him up. ‘Great opportunities for little people to learn, play and explore. Such a welcoming, friendly, relaxed environment – exactly what you’d want for your children. Eban’s had two settling in sessions now and is excited about having a full day with you all every week. Full of smiles once I picked him up today – a very happy little boy who must’ve had a busy morning as he slept half the afternoon! ’ Sara
