Ffrindiau Sêr Bach is our holiday provision for children aged up to eight years old. The children in our holiday club will be given the same standard of care as the children in the nursery within age appropriate activities. All aspects of this Statement of Purpose are relevant to the children who attend and the children will be encouraged to use baby sign with our younger children.
Our holiday club operates during every holiday but excludes bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.
We have a separate base room for our holiday club, however they will be encouraged to spend time with siblings and using other facilities throughout the day including the sensory rooms, outdoor areas and messy play rooms. We look forward to welcoming back our ‘big’ children during the holidays and hearing of their adventures at school, seeing them rekindle friendships and consolidate their learning through different experiences.
There are no televisions, computers or game consoles within our holiday club and it is our intention that the children who attend will develop and practice using the skills that they have been learning in school through planned activities and their choice of play experiences.
Each week of a holiday is organised in a block in order that children who attend on different days will have some continuity but over the longer summer holiday the children will experience a range of activities including visits from different people and trips out into the local community.
